Hi All,

I just want to drop a quick note. We went to the Dr.today for result.
The margins were negative.  Gleason went from 6 to 7.  The seminal
vessel base (both) showed cancer. The Dr. said it just puts him at a
higher precentage for cancer to return but he is happy with his
progress and feels it is positive.  We are happy for the report!  I
will think every day about the chances of no return and not dwell on
the chance of return.  I will work on this..  I will be more spefic
later.  Paul goes back to work Monday and is feeling good..still quite
sore but good.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks Jean!
The more I read the more I feel a real let down on his report.  I was
so focused on clear margins I did not know anything about seminle
problem.  I don't even know if I am spelling correctly...I am taking a
moment from cooking.    However, we will have first psa in March and we
have to find a way to feel some sort of hope.  I don't know...I am just
disappointed, I suppose.  I really thought we were going to get it all
out and be free and clear.  I have to find a way to stay focused on the
plus side of the % of it coming back.  It is after all in God's hands
not ours.  We can only do what we can and have faith.  It is easy to
say, easy to write but much harder to live by.

I am thankful today...Happy Thanksgiving to all

Sounds pretty good P&L. I agree - focus on the positive and be thankful
and, I second, "Happy Thanksgiving"

Post operative biopsies are often a G7 when the needle biopsy was a G6.
But, the seminal vesicles throw him into a T3.  Cancer is harder to cure if
it's in the seminal vesicles.

That's not to say that it cannot be held at bay.  I am T3 (seminal vesicle
involvement) and, at 6 years (almost) my PSA is less than 0.04.  I'm
thinking I have a good chance at living until there is a cure.  Ergo, Paul
should be thinking the same thing.
