The newsgroups are okay but, as Linda discovered, Google is
having problems. I tried reading this group on Google. When
I click the "Older topics" link at the bottom of a page and go
back to postings before around Oct. 22, I can see the index
page that lists the headings, but if I click on one I get an error.
This problem seems to also be on other groups. I've written to
Google about it. Hopefully they're working on it.

I just got an email from Google saying that they fixed the
problem and, sure enough, it seems to be fixed.
Isn't that amazing? Who would have thought that when
a shmo like me reports a problem to a giant multi-national
corporation they would actually fix it?
I'm guessing that other people reported it too, but at least
Google did fix it and even got back to me to tell me it was
fixed.
My faith in humanity has gone up a notch.
