TAPPING INTO A VEIN
Anyone who knows the agony of having blood drawn by an inexperienced
nurse will appreciate this. The Georgia Institute of Technology is
developing a device that locates veins quickly. The pen-sized
instrument uses high-frequency sound waves that distinguish moving
blood from tissue. When the waves bounce off a vein, an alarm goes
off so the nurse can take blood or insert an IV on the first try.

Of course. That's because, as any woman will tell you, we have two brains --
