Hi Mr. Loomis:
I just received your PSA and it remains undetectable (<0.06 ng/ml).
Congratulations. Check it again in a year.
Best,
Jim Brooks
Hello Dr. James D. Brooks,
I was hoping to get a lab paperwork for a blood draw concerning my
PSA.
I live here in Fort Bragg, Calif. and can take in that Lab Paperwork, to
get my blood testing.
I am doing real well, and still run, on the weekends, with a running
group, and by myself Sat. We do 1 hour, and 4 to 6 miles...
I wish everyone, and all my friends, from Leonard , to Berky, (passed
away), Beverly, Sinrod, all you guy's and gals, the best of all, and never
give in!
I am going on 8 years...Doing great, but always have apprehension
concerning the 10 year date......
Jeez, I am getting old and bold, and still feel like a kid!
Keep the faith, love you all!
Mostly sorry for those that have to go on....
Chemo, Radiation, hormone eblation....
Jeez.
Jeez, I always say Cheese and Crackers....
Thats Jeez......
Wishing all a Great FallTime....
John Loomis

Hi John has had a very rough time lately. Since Christmas John has not been
able to eat solid food because of the tumour growth on his jaw.Went to the
Orkney islands in June whilst there john became very ill with a chest
infection and since then he has lost a great deal of weight and has had a
feeding tube inserted into his tummy (gastrostomy tube). Has had the tube
about 6 weeks however he is still losing weight and is very lethargic. John
seems to have slowed down and finds every day things a huge effort. He cant
deal with any kind of pressure and i try to make sure that everything is
running smoothly around him. Things are changing his cancer is rearing it
ugly head and affecting our every move. John has had 2 years of fairly good
health with advanced terminal cancer, those days are behind us and we are
head on into a whole different ballgame and i am telling you its not
good!!!!!!
John is still his ever optimistic self although he knows the score, he keeps
me going and i love him dearly for it.
Many thanks for caring about us.

Know this, Carolyn: There are those of us who do, very much, care about
you... and John... and your 3 children. In my case, I wonder why God puts
so much on some peoples' plates. You're supposed to be 80 when these things
crop up and your children are supposed to be grown. I do and will pray for
you all.

Sorry to deflate the balloon, but <0.06 ng/mL is NOT undetectable. That
figure is =/< 0.05 ng/mL. I can provide references if requested.
OTOH, I think that 0.06 is within the margin of error of the test
protocol. So maybe John is indeed OK.

Steve J

I am not sure......But I am sure I am here.....
And with all you out there fighting, I am right besides all of you.
Support Prostate Cancer, send money to the Dr.s, Keep believing the fight
can be won.
What is the difference between 0.01 and 0.04 and 0.06
Most are marginal tests........depends on testing......
What do I know? I am a carpenter, and a builder.
I can build the house, but cannot check out my "nutz"
Had to say that.......LOL
Your friend.....

Each year, you post your PSA. Each year, I think, "damn, and he had a 3+5!"
Congratulations, John. You're beating one of the worst of the bastards.
