On 08-11-04 I had my RRP done at the Zablocki VA Hospital in Milwaukee.
The surgery was done by a surgeon from Froedtert Hospital also in
Milwaukee.  No problems at all with the surgery and lab showed margins
were negative.

At that time my PSA was 26.7, Gleason 3 + 3, stage T1C.

Since my surgery I feel great, my bowels and plumbing work great.  Pee
like a kid again.

I had a physical on 08-07-06.  First DRE since surgery and all was well.
PSA shows <0.04 which is the same it was on 01-20-06.

I know I should be more knowlegable  especially since reading this group
for the past two years.

Main question is do I need to worry about my reading?

I am 64.

Thanks...Don

Nope.  It's a great reading.

When a lab reports "<X" that usually means that X is the lowest
concentration of PSA that their test is able to measure.  Anything
below that is, for their test, "undetectable".  In other words,
they weren't able to find any PSA at all.

They can't report zero as the value because they don't know
that it's zero.  All they know is that it's lower than their test
can measure, and the lowest their test can measure is 0.04.

So you're in great shape as far as your current PSA is reading.

<< Yes, you really should know more.  But, in absence of knowledge, please take my opinion.  Your PSA is fantastic!
