Carroll, I was seeded six months ago with 117 Palladium seeds. As typical,
prostate swelled, but never had to catheterize. I found that sitting in a
hot tub of water provided all the relief that I needed. Good luck. Mike

Hi Ho Silver - 26 Oct 2003 03:30 GMT
Carroll, I was seeded in October, 1999. Was only catheratized during the
procedure, but it was removed when I left the hospital and never had a
problem urinating, not even the first night. I did take my Flomax for a
couple of months, and that no doubt helped.

What did the hot tub do for you, help urination or relax the muscles around
the prostate?

Hi Carroll,
Yes, my hubby had all sorts of problems urinating after his seeding. But he
never needed to be cathed for it. He did take Hytrin round the clock and not
just at bedtime to keep his stream going. His prostate swelled and
apparently put pressure on a nerve that controlled the bladder sphincter.
(He also took a great deal of Naprosyn to try to control the swelling.) He
had one heck of a time for months afterwards but it has finally subsided.
