Couldn't hurt...
c palmer - 08 Jul 2006 09:34 GMT WELCOME TO ANGEL'S MESSAGE
Our service is quite unique. It affords the opportunity for people to communicate with their family, friends and loved ones after they have passed away.
All people from all races and backgrounds share one certainty in life - that we will all eventually die, leaving our loved ones behind. The most unfortunate part about death, is that we seldom know when it will happen. For many people, speaking about their true feelings doesn't come easily. Often times, loved ones pass unexpectedly, and we often regret not saying the things we wanted to. If you were to unexpectedly die tomorrow, would you have shared everything you'd want your loved ones to know? It's not a fun thing to think about one's own death. And it's all too common to keep putting off the important things we all should be preparing, such as wills, funeral arrangements, etc. But there are advantages to facing these issues... Peace of mind. Whether you're perfectly healthy, or in a high-risk job (military, law enforcement, etc), or if you are terminally ill - find out more about our service by reading the

====== that's true......
as for me, my philosophy is say what needs saying, pray from needs praying, hold what needs holding, and walk the distance, even though it means an extra mile............because we are only here for a little while.......

I.P. Freely - 08 Jul 2006 22:13 GMT 1. If Heaven has PCs, I want no part of it. 2. We KNOW Hell has them, because that's where every PC goes. 3. The only place a "service" like this has is in spam hell. 4. If we have something to say to loved ones, SAY IT WHILE THEY'RE ALIVE. 5. And if we really MUST talk with departed loved ones, move to Utah and convert. Many of my sane, urbane, educated friends there often carry on conversations with long-departed relatives, and their religion strikes me as better than many of the alternatives.
But paying greedy charlatans to contact them for us is not priceless; it's asinine.

Steve Kramer - 08 Jul 2006 19:57 GMT >>WELCOME TO ANGEL'S MESSAGE >> [quoted text clipped - 38 lines] > > Yeah - it's not for everyone, but I think it has it's place.... Sure it does. Certainly not outside the Bible believing peoples, because angels do not exist outside their belief. And, of course, not within the Bible believing peoples, because they do not believe in communications with angels in this way. But, everywhere else....
Alan Meyer - 08 Jul 2006 18:15 GMT > Hi all - I came across this site and thought it is really cool. Check > it out for yourself : http://www.angelsmessage.com > > Couldn't hurt... I know that there are some investigators at the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission that are just dying to communicate with dead spammers and con men. So I have passed your ad and URL on to them.
As for myself, I find that if I wrap my head in aluminum foil and twirl the top of the foil into a point aiming heavenward (or the other way, depending on who I want to communicate with), I can send my thoughts to the dead without having to bother with email, video, etc., and without having to bother with your $25 fee.
Ooh, I almost forgot. I think I also need to alert the IRS so they can be sure to check that your site is reporting all of the income it receives. For that I'm afraid you'll need to either use a Form 1040 or a Form 1120. The IRS is not yet, as far as I know, accepting reports in the form that you send them.
Let us know how you are getting on. And if you do make it to the "other side" before we do, please do send us an email and let us know how you are doing.
Regards,
Alan

So I have passed your ad and URL on to them. I thought the same thing when I first read the post: that they were "channeling" the dead. It's not worded very well. That's not what they are selling.
What they _are_ selling is someplace you can store electronic documents (text, audio, and/or video) so that they will be accessible to those whom you designate after you croak. Like leaving a letter to someone along with your will. I suppose there could be some benefit to storing these documents electronically on their website rather than storing the physical media... but I'm not sure what it is. Nor am I convinced that such documents are wise in any form.
It's probably a good marketing idea, but the implementation is pretty lame. The talking cartoon and the whole "Angel" thing will be pretty offputting to most people, I think.
In any event it still qualifies as spam and a particularly cynical version of it since it is targeting people worried about their near term survival.

I guess I owe them an apology.
Sorry guys. But don't forget to declare any income to the IRS. They get mad if you don't.
