HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I hope every one of our dads out here have the luxury of spending the day
with their children (and grandchildren) or the opportunity to spend it with
their dad.

Fathers are special people. Some may have been at sea or not around much for
their little ones. There are dads that walked the floors at night to give
their wife some much needed sleep. Others just nudged the wife awake and
sleepily announced "the baby is crying".  There are those who risked
speeding tickets to be there and see their child play in a game and others
who got there after the game was over. There are fathers who stayed up
waiting for a teen to return from a date and those who got phone calls from
the local police. There are those who have stood proudly and watched the
first child in the history of their family graduate from high school or
college. There are fathers who have walked a daughter down the isle, and
fathers who have stood quietly and have watched a son receive someone else's
daughter. And fathers who have held a grandchild, and others who have
received phone calls half a world away announcing the birth of that child.
And there are fathers who have wept over a flag draped coffin.

No matter what the role a father plays in a child's life the world will
always be different because he gave life to a child. Celebrate life and
enjoy the day.

Well said Bev.  I'm expecting my first grandchild in about six weeks.
Can't wait

Your life is about to change.  This is only my third Father's Day since my
first grandson was born, but I already know that all I want on Father's Days
in the future is to see the five I will have by September.

Maybe Mom's and Dads day weekend.....Gosh would that cause a stir.
Who would cook, and change the oil in the car, and wash the dishes, and cut
the lawn.
I see your notes concerning Fathers Day, and it brings memories of my Dad,
and My grandad......
Oh, and memories of me to...I am a Dad.
Just spoke with my kids....soon to be Dads.....when the time is right.
Thanks Beverly.
