One a day Cialis

The NY times reported today that the manufacturer of Cialis is asking
the FDA for permission to market a one a day version of Cialis.  They
have tested a reduced dose and found that it is effective in maintaining
erections in a substantial number of men with erection problems.  They
are aiming at relatively young men who expect to engage in sex
relatively frequently.  Supposedly side effects ere minimal.

A month's supply would cost about $100.

This might make daily use of Cialis after surgery to encourage the
return of erections a more feasible strategy for some men.  Personally,
I would be nervous about using it this way for long term ongoing use
rather than just when needed.  My urologist gave me some samples once,
and I found it worked as advertised, but it did induce some muscle aches
on one occasion.

Even with Viagra, I find  it still has some effect the next day.  But,
since I can sometimes manage without anything, I'm not sure it is a real
effect.  I wonder if anyone else has notice anything of this kind.

Thanks for the report Len.

I have been taking a 20mg Cialis almost every other day for a year (as
per my docs' advice...along with using a pump and manual
stimulation)...to help with blood flow and hopefuly speed the return of
natural erections.

I have orgasms, better size...but still no 'natural' erections.

I have 'stirrings' but no morning erection as yet.

I'm seeing the doc/surgeoon who did my RRP this friday (1 year
visit)...and I'll ask about the process.

Thanks again and best of health to all,

Ron B.

Cannot believe that it has been a year already Ron!  How the time does
fly.  Hope you get a good report and that you are eventually successful
in having a return to normal sexual function.

Yes, it is hard to believe it has been a year, Ron!  Sounds like you are
doing lots of things to bring the erectile function back!

Best of luck!

Hey, Ron, time sure flies doesn't it?  Seems like, what?, just last year
you were sweating meeting Doc Catalona personally.

Coincidentally, I've been a bit lax and only just got in for my 6 year
PSA check (about two months late since they took the first about a month
after my surgery).  Don't have the results yet but, hey, they'll send me
the results next week.  I'm not worried<g>

Don't worry, eventually, you'll get that laid back about the PSA tests!

Hi Leonard:

20mg of Cialis does nothing for me so far at the 18th month mark. A 20mg
Levita works about 50% or so. Injections work very well, but they are
somewhat of a pain to use. PSA was recently undetectable along with
undetectable erections without some kind of chemical stimulation at this
juncture.

Correction! Seemed to get half mast today with just the Cialis that I
tried yesterday. Hmmmm...now I'm confused.

Lucky You!

Hmmm...Bob...now I'M confused.

Well, only slightly more than usual.  :-)

At the 1 month mark, (after surgery) when my doc suggests starting some
ED drug (as I wrote, he likes Cialis cuz it's a 36 hour thing)...I got
samples of everything.

Well, not surprisingly...nothing worked at that time.

So I stuck with the Cialis almost every other day since and get better
size, orgasms, but no erection.

I always thought that once I got a SPONTANEOUS one...I'd try the other
drugs again to see if they would work better.

After your FIRST post I was all set to try Levitra again...and then you
posted again.

:-)

I may ask for all the samples again and give it a shot...so to speak.
:-)

Best of health to everyone,

Ron B.

Hi Ron:

The last time I used the Cialis was approximately 6 months ago. It did
nothing for me then. The Levitra worked somewhat though. I guess I was
expecting the same results when I got some samples to try again. Maybe
this is a sign of some life stirring along the Rip Van Winkel erection
highway. ;)

Sorry to say that none of the pills work for me.  I quit spending $$$
on them awhile back.

Seems like this is yet another step in the right direction Leonard.
Wouldn't it be great if somewhere down the line we have a once a week, or
once a month pill? Big question is if and when will this be covered by our
drug plans?
