I offer my humble apologies for being an inactive member of this
distinguished group for an extended period.
It was on purpose. I wasn't even "lurking"
First, I had another physical challenge to overcome - so far
successfully.
Second, after some soul searching I decided that I didn't want to
fixate on either of my problems for a while. They are what they are and
I needed some "downtime".
That period has to come to an end after 6 month hiatus regarding my
journey with PCa. I had blood brawn Friday (6/2) for the required PSA
checkup. If it's any indicator, the lab technician who drew the blood
was the worst I've ever had. It hurt like sin and the inside of my
left arm is totally black-and-blue. More blood tests today for other
reason - and in the other arm (and I pray to God a different
technician - lots of vials needed)! The appointment with my urologist
is Wednesday (6/7). That's when I find out if I get another 6 month
respite.
So I'll be watching and sounding off in my usual poignant way (yeh,
sure)...
Wish me luck....

Pops...(and you're STILL too young to be a 'Pops'...:-)
No apology necessary.
We all go through periods of 'enough is enough'...'I gotta stop dwelling
on this'...'I need a break'...etc.
As a shrink 'lifer' :-)...I've learned that things can get
overwhelming.
You're always welcome...good times or bad.
Forgive me for speaking for others...
Best of health to all,
Ron B.

Spent an anxious hour waiting in the URO office after a cryptic
conversation with the PA abou the DR wanting to see me and not
immediately available. Assumed that I would need to be sitting down.
Fianlly into the exam room followed by another 10 minutes of anxious
pacing. Then in pops Mr. URO with a big grin on his face and a PSA
report that reads "<0.05ng/ml"! Physical exam AOK!
WOOHOO!
Now I can't even go out and party 'cause I stopped drinking!
Guess I'll just sit here and smile!
A day at a time / Six months at a time....
