I live about 280 miles from my Prostate Cancer Dr.  Since I cannot drive
there everytime I need a prescription for Viagra, I am stuck.  The Dr. said
I need to come in and re-new my prescription after getting it for 5 years.
I generally prefer to stay out of a Dr.s office.  I am 56, and doing
fine, and walk, and exersize, and work hard.  I have had PSA's since 1999
and so far all are "thankfully" under 0.01 or less.......

I did not get an erection for 2 years following surgery unless with a pump
or injections......Viagra gave me a bad headache.
Finally I discovered using smaller amounts of viagra, and voila......
It works fine now.
So, I need a viagra to assist with my erectile issues.
I can do fine without albeit, 1/4 of 100 mgs does me well.

I would like to be able to purchase Viagra.
So, now, I am stuck with my lingering supply, and use it wisely.
Why can't I buy it.............
Prostate gone, been through it, done it, work hard.

Get it from you GP?  I think after 5 years with <.01 I'd skip the PCa
doctor and go to a local one.

If you can stand it, there are some real benefits to having a local
primary care physician, even if you rarely see him or her.  You could
probably get enough Viagra samples from your visit to pay for the
office visit.  AND a prescription.

I'm finished with my URO after 3 years, and get a yearly checkup & PSA
from my GP. These docs will NEVER discharge you John. If god forbid you get
a bad PSA, then you may want a consult, but you're cured pal! Get your
vitamin V script from your local doc, or better yet Google is your friend.
Plenty of legit online pharmacys that are even cheaper.

They still require a prescription.

Not necessarily. I bought generic Cialis from www.xlpharmacy.com simply by
filling out an online questionnaire. No prescription at all.  Anybody else
had the same experience?

Funny part is that I can  and have gotten a prescription from my GP for
100mg Viagra tablets but my insurance limits me to 12 tablets per quarter.

Such limits are pretty common.  Apparently they assume that having sex
slightly less than once a week is enough.   For most older couples, that
would be a good estimate, but clearly people differ, and for some
younger men, it could be a problem.  Also, it would make daily use of
Viagra to encourage the return of erections impossible.

One wonders how insurance companies try to justify such restrictions.
They like to make believe that they base their decisions on medical
considerations, but it seems clear that they just want to keep the cost
down.   It is annoying that they usually won't admit that and just lie
to you about why they are doing it.

Use it regularly.  Given the prices I have been able to experiment
with all the generics they sell, and FWIW am personally happiest with
Tadalafil

Did you get it without a prescription -- as I did?

No Rx; no hassle.  Just fill out the on-line form, tell 'em you are a
PCa patient and admit you have e.d., and they send you the pills.
Tadalafil lasts 24-36 hours and makes "good wood"  :-)

Hi all.

My doc suggested Cialis 20mg every other day starting 1 month after
surgery...

whether with a partner, pump, manual stimulation, etc...

to help with blood flow.

Some folks here, who've had some spontaneous erections had success with
the GENERIC Cialis.

As a former druggist...I knew that there was no generic Cialis in the
U.S. but...in other countries (India)...it's common.

So...I used a pharmacy:

http://www.xlpharmacy.com/

a Canadian pharmacy, which was mentioned before...and bought some
generic Cialis which was sent from India.

Now...the company that made it (Ranbaxy Labs) also makes OTHER generic
drugs used by Walgreen's, Cub Foods, etc in the U.S. so I was fine with
it.

It's cheaper...and no prescription is needed.

Just fill out a form as to why you want it.

(DUH)  :-)

The Viagra is even cheaper.

So...I have no problem suggesting that folks go that route.

Also...look online for even CHEAPER generics.

After what we've been through...THIS is a small risk...and I think that
it's a good one.

So...do it.  :-)

Best of health to all,

Ron B.

Google "generic Viagra". It seems to work just fine.

Any doctor can prescribe Viagra.  Also, if your insurance plan requires
your doctor to specify why you need it, your regular doctor can do that.
It doesn't require a prostate cancer specialist to figure out that a
radical prostatectomy can induce some degree of impotence.

My urologist is pretty close by, and I see him once a year now, but I
get my Viagra prescriptions through my primary care physician.

Found this on another list (edited)
No one can beat Alldaychemist and they are very reliable.    I just
bought
240 tablets of 100 mg Sildenafil Citrate.    This shipment was labeled
"Manly" mfr by Cooper Pharma, a major Indian pharmaceutical
manufacturer.
Not sure that you always get this generic.   Previously, I received
Vega.
Cost was $158 including $28 postage.    That's about 65 cents each.
It
was shipped in 4 envelopes of 60 tabs each on different shipping dates.
  I
received 3 of the envelopes on Monday, still waiting on #4.  I had to
sign
for the envelopes.
tuomas.wiste@gmail.com - 09 Jun 2006 07:57 GMT
How was the quality of 'Manly'.  Is it as strong as other generic
sildenafils such as 'Caverta' and the one at rxmex.com?  I have good
results with those ones, but the price seems to have risen, so I am
considering trying Manly.

Thanks for your input.  ~B

google pillsamples or go to http://www.pillsamples.com for free generic
viagra samples... the maximum you can buy is a 90 day supply, but the
shipping is free, no doctor fee, no prescription fee and just compare the
price for yourself.  The pills are sent in blister packs, years before
expiration so they are fresh and sent discreet so there is no embaressment.

you can try sildenafil soft tabs (mint taste).. which is basically generic
viagra that melts in your mouth like a lausange (spelling?).  I found some
here http://www.generic-viagra-tabs.info and it seems to work faster than the
pills you swallow (brand or generic)
anyway, maybe one day they will come out with a viagra iv by the bed lol
