Hey Clarence,

We failed chemotherapy.  Think that's bad?  Oh no.  What a huge relief.
No more "lungs filling, can't breathe, kicked in the solar plexus,
esophagus burnt, enough steroids for the LA Dodgers, and no more
predinsine!

We met with the radiation oncologist yesterday.  He has Tomo Therapy,
very interesting, maybe I'll post my notes later.

H'mmmm, just what is he going to target? Hasn't your man already had
an RRP?

I visited the Tomo site. It just seems they've cut one machine out of
the loop. It says "helical"....Does that mean "screwed"?

Best wishes...

1. He felt remaining prostate tissue w/a DRE.  Will do an ultrasound
tomorrow to find out just how much.
1a.  If it is a large amount, he will do RT + seeds.
1b.  If it is a small amount, then he will do the prostate bed
(identified by surgical clips), the bladder neck (which is in the
prostate bed now, also IDd by ultrasound, the local lymph channels IDd
by PET scan.

Almost too true to be funny.  Almost.

You might want to look at this page
http://www.tomotherapy.com/clinician/cases/tomo_PA.htm.  There is a lot
of additional information and control available when the CT and the
proton beam machine are merged with intelligent software.

I just like that 'C' used the term 'bon mot', pronounced 'bone moe'.

Very cool, C
