This morning i followed the instructions for the catheter removal that i
previously posted, catheter came out like a charm, absolutley no
difficulty. Has been an hour so far and no bladder spasm's, still
waiting to urinate, hope it will be without pain, never want to see
another catheter again:)) . Purchased the depend "Guards for men" as
insurance against accidents.
Want to thank everyone in the group for there avise and wisdom. This
disease has been a very humbling experience for me.
God's blessings for life and health for all ~

Congrats Bob!
It does get better, but as you say, it's one day at a time.
My Best,
KenA

Feeling better since removing the catheter on sunday morning, removal
was easy and not a problem. However i cannot get rid of the burning on
urination, and burning at tip of penis. Urologist took a urine culture
today, hope it is not a bladder infection. Been on Cipro, Pyridium, also
drinking cranberry juice.
All this is very draining and wearing me out.

Dave went through something like this, the infection was Cipro
resistant, he had to have an emergency catheter put back in, had to
have his urethra dilated.  I don't know what was related to what.
Think the Keflex (instead of Cipro) started working right away.

I am sure it is temporary, Bob, once they get this squared away.  Don't
let it go.  If they take a day here, a day there, pretty soon it will
be the weekend and will just go on and on.  Go hang out in his office
until he *does* something.

Dave what is going on since you started the Keflex?
