Since you don't get Fox, news that you won't here on liberal media....
Things are going so well in Iraq that we are pulling out 30,000 troops
We just got the leader of an Alqueda cell north of Bagdad (what? They're
there?). We got the last leader of the same cell that replace the one that
we got earlier.
Oh, and the U.S. economy is on fire.

Nah.....it is merely "El Steevo" trying to get a rise out of me, lol.

porkies, lol)

reminds me of the cartoon I saw about the "147th-second in command to
Bin Ladin"-- dang we're good. just can't see how i'm supposed to feel
better about 30,000 dead civilians over there instead of 100,000. i
feel bad enough about 2,000 or 3,000 of our troops. i have a niece and
a nephew over there...

Reminds me of the little kid in school who frantically raised her hand
when told the sun would burn out in 4 billion years. She had heard 4
million and was much relieved when told the correct figure.

Ask 'em a couple of questions for us:
1. What do they think of our objectives in Iraq?
2. What TV news source do they think best reflects reality?

I think we're wasting our time presenting facts, Steve. Despite the fact
that by virtually every measure the U.S. economy has been booming for a
few years now, the left still thinks it's in the tank because their
leaders and their media say it's in the tank without offering one fact
to support it (BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE).
I'd consider their misinformation their problem if it didn't have such a
global impact.

I personally believe that's why our forefathers didn't include the media in
the 1st Amendment.

I haven't had time to watch this news group for months. My wages were
cut and I have to work 2 full time jobs to pay the mortgage. And we had
to cut Internet access for a while - 10 bucks a month was more then were
could afford for a while. A 40% cut will do that. With the raise in gas
prices I may have to get a part time job to pay for the gas to get to my
full time jobs. Myself and everyone I know is struggling. Must be
because we can't afford cable so Fox news can tell us how wonderful we
are doing.

I can remember days like that. In the 70s... laid off, working three jobs
just to make almost as much as I had been on my first. Decided which car to
drive based on which one had gas, because I couldn't afford to buy any.
Lost my boat and my beloved 1967 Cougar.
Sure wouldn't want to be battling that kind of economy now.
