Dave, were you asking for feedback when you posted this?

My urine is still showing nitrates, protein and blood. My uro was a
little concerned and used the camera again. (I really don't enjoy that,
but it seems informative to him, so I indulge him a little on that
one.) He said the "attachment" maybe? Where he attached the urethra
back to the bladder, but I'm not sure he used the word "attached", was
healing nicely. Did look a little small to him though. He asked if I
wanted a catheter. I explained that the whole way down I was half
afraid he would put one back in and half afraid he wouldn''t. I decided
that maybe I was a little better. But I'm not. And possibly the camera
irritated it and made it worse. Last night I woke up in a lot of pain,
had to sit to pee, hurt and I mean teeth grinding hurt to pee. Right at
the tip of my penis. Then felt like there was a hot, iron rod running
down under me. I even started digging around for some Lortabs. I KNOW
they sent me home with some from the hospital. I even took 2 or 3.
Couldn't find them, their around somewhere I guess, but I'm doing
better today. Still have to sit, but the pain is more bearable.
Anyway, uro said physically look great, but, because of UA, he detected
some infection, stay on Cipro. But in a month he wants to put in a
"pop catheter?" Do some repair surgery on the bladder "attachment" and
make it wider. However, he said come in anytime, if I think there is
more urgency. I believe I will Monday, it's just getting to miserable
to pee this way all the time. Wearing a catheter has its advantages.
Total emptiness. No urgency, just drain the bag every now and then.

yes, anybody got feedback?

Dave
I'm really sorry to hear about the pain and ongoing problems. This
suggestion might be a way to a little more comfort.
I've been wearing a new type of catheter with a 'flexi/flow' tap on
the end. It's short (tucks up easily into your underpants, no bands
needed to tie it to leg) and no bottle to cart around, and empty. You
feel when you want to pee -and go in the normal way - just open the
tap. Done. Easy change nozzle once a week. Prior to a TURP couple of
years ago I had about a month of bottle catheter and hated it- bottle
emptying, leaks, leg band slipping. I personally find this so very
very much easier. Can you get one?
Very best wishes
Mike

Mike,
Thank-you for reply. I am going to ask for one. Give me a lot more
freedom. I hope they are available in this area. I can't imagine why
not. Yes, money is not a problem.
