I go home in the morning, I let my laptop die the I posted after
surgery. I want to thank everyone for the encouraging notes. My colon
started working a little friday then alittle mor saturday then i
started solid food today and it seems fine. Nothing feels the same at
all inside, but from reading you guys and talking to drs. I guess
that's normal. The whole thing has been fairly uneventful I suppose.
I'll have to wear a cathiter home, but it comes out in another week
maybe. For all the scares I had before the surgery it's really been a
blessin the way it's turned out. I'm sure gonna need advice on the
incontinent thing. I have a "being able to shut down" sensation, but I
guess  that just the pressure the urethra put on the cathiter tube. The
tube running the stomach pump came out yesterday, was glad to see that
sucker go!  Uncomfortable!!!! They got a little better with the pain
meds, I wasn't exactly ever real uncomfortable, just never real
comfortable either, Haven't slept over 2 hrs in a stretch yet. Nice
nurses and room though, very large, private and had a lot of visitors.
Well. you guys stay in touch
God Bless
David

Hey, I saw your other message first, so now I know when you're going
home.  What a relief it is, after all the scary news, to have them
actually see what's going on, and it wasn't so bad.  Best wishes,
laurel

I think I read in a new book called "You, the Patient," that the best
hospital stay is a boring one.

Good going, Dave.  Congratualtions and good wishes for a speedy recuperation
and good health.
