Hi
I had Hifu 3 weeks ago in Australia Gold Coast.
feel 100% was 2 weeks with a supra-pubic catheter through my lower abdomen
that was the only little problem, getting it out was a relief, but know I have
no side effects
everything is the way it was before.

Hi HIFU Oz Ossie
1. Re your: "2 weeks with a supra-pubic catheter"
When I was cathetered for many weeks before a TURP I hardly slept in
case the bottle was overflowing, tube leaking in bed, getting angle of
tube down to bottle on floor when you're lying on your back and your
penis is attached to your front, and suchlike geometrical problems.
Likewise driving. I understand that the 'supra-pubic' is a sort of
tube with a cork on the end. You just unplug the cork when you wanna
go and plug it up again. No tubes to leak and bottles to overflow
sounds good to me.
Now, can you tell us how little the" little problems" were with this
cathter please? Thank goodness at least 2 weeks isn't long.
2. Did you have the Sonablate or Ablatherm HIFU? And
3.Will you kindly keep us in touch with aftermath?
Would meanwhile be grateful for any more details -e.g. your previous
Gleason and Stage.
I wish you a wonderful outcome Steve.

Hi.
The pubic catheter had a tap you open if you have to go,at night you connect
it to a nightbag and you empty it in ther morning no getting up at night no
overflow.
I had Sonablade 500 HIFU
the little problem was a tingling at the end of my willy when I made certain
movements like lifting my leg or sitting down.

hi Steve
Many thanks for your reply. Some extra tingling at the end of my willy
at my age might even be a bonus!
Please keep us in touch with your progress from time to time. My very
best wishes Steve for a really brilliant outcome.
Regards
Mike
