Hey,
Maybe we should invite the list serve group here.
Just my 2 penny's.
Off for a run in the cool a.m.
Yeah, I think this group is fine, and I would rather have a choice to accept
or regect any news article posted rather than it be pre-washed.....

John.
I agree wholeheartedly.

"Pre-washed?" Maybe John suggests that the moderator on PPML is selective
about what he'll pass along to the group, which is correct. If it doesn't
somehow relate to PCa (subject being, frex, hangnails), I'm sure it would
end up in the bit bucket. This saves subscribers much time and aggravation.
But if John suggests that the moderator decides which *on-topic* matters
will be posted, I think I'd have noticed such long ago. My sources of
information extend far beyond ascp and PPML; I'd know it if censorship of
that sort were being practiced.
But maybe John is better acquainted with PPML than I. When was he a subscriber?

Just for the record, only posts from individuals who have displayed a
persistent pattern of disruptive posting cross the PPML facilitator's
screen, and this is a very small number of individuals. All other
posts go straight to the server for immediate posting, no review or
approval required...Ron

I had something like that in mind in addition to spam, but Ron expresses it
better.
Story on myself: I posted a message some time ago that criticized someone
in very strong and sarcastic terms. I thought I sent it to a friend. What I
did was post it on PPML.
The moderator, instead of shooting me down in flames as he was wholly
entitled to do, very kindly asked me whether I really intended to do what I
had done.
Embarrassment is far too weak a term for how I felt. I had to apologize all
over the place.
Lesson learned: watch the "To" line!
