I know that no one can change my situation. But I so appreciate the
back-patting and caring. This is a perfect example of tragedy bringing the
worst in someone.

I feel that I have done the best I could too. the doctor told me he is sorry
that I have had to bear the brunt of all this.

he also said that it isn't up to him to confront curt on his pain med use
and I stopped him and said I wouldn't care how much he took if it took away
the pain but there has to be a better way to medicate him but all the while
I'm thinking "dude, you are the one who writes these seemingly unlimited
prescriptions!!" ~ 120 800 mcg suckers every 2 weeks 8-10+ per day.

anyways. thanks for your support. it means a lot to me.

You're right, Lori; none of us can fully appreciate or even comprehend what
you and your family are experiencing.  You told me some time ago that it was
all right with you if I remembered you in my prayers as you came to mind.
Therefore, I say with complete assurance that God understands, but we don't
understand why it has to happen this way.  It's a testing and strengthening
process if you will allow it, recognizing that the final result still may
not be the satisfactory answer we want.

Lori ...
I don't know every single detail in your case, but please, let me say
this:
If you feel you've done the best you can, then you have nothing to be
ashamed or feel guilty about.
Self preservation for yourself and your family is the first law of
nature.

You protect/cover your own a.s as best you can, cuz there isn't anyone
who can take better care of you than you.

Lori might also find it helpful to look in on the Us Too site, The Circle,
at http://www.prostatepointers.org/circle

Much support to be found there, especially from women who know what it's like.

Steve J
