I had a robotic radical prostatectomy with Dr. Ash Tewari at Weil Cornell
Columbia August 10 with a Gleason of 3+3=6, cancer in 2 lobes, negative
margins. Today my first PSA came back 0.0. I'm still leaking with 2 or 3
pads a day (completely dry in the morning = very hopeful) and have no
erection yet. I have ten years to go to be scott free and am counting my
blessings!

Thanks to all of you for your terrific help and support.

My experience is quite similar to yours.  The surgery (RRP) was performed 8
weeks ago.  My Gleason was the same as yours and cancer was found to be
present in both lobes.  The pathology report stated that 15% of the prostate
had cancer cells.  My first PSA test was taken two weeks after the surgery
and the result was 0.1.  The surgeon had me come back three weeks later
because two weeks may have been too soon to do the test.   The PSA was then
reported as not detectable. I'll have it checked again in December.  Leaking
has not been much of a problem for me.

Michael -- AWESOME news!!!  As you remember, we had our RRP's 2 days
apart.  My first PSA test is scheduled in early November.  I'll let you
know the results -- praying that they're as clean as your results!

'Tis the season for excellent PSA results for us recent victims. Good
cheer all round! :-)

Our joint New Year's resolution must surely be to dry up and get rigid!

I still leak at times (not all the time), but the rigidity has returned
for me.  Forget waiting until New Years!!  ;-)

I have the opposite problem. Intellectually I think I have the better
of the deal, but the lizard part of my brain envies you mightily! :-)

I just got my PSA results back , 12 months after RRP by Dr Lez Thompson
at Wesley Hospital in Brisbane.............0.01

Yippeee, I am so happy.
Been dry  (except for sneezes ) for the past 9 months, now if only
willy would stand to attention I would be totally happy.

But hey, I'm alive , what more can you ask?

Wonderful news all around!

To those who are leaking a bit...it's really early...things will
improve.

And to those who are that early and HAVE had Mr. Happy stand at
attention...or close...:-)...

that's REALLY great.

All the best,

Ron B.
