Post prostatectomy embarassment

Maybe someone out there can help with some advise on
contenance/control during sex!
I'm 4 weeks post surgery, using 4-5 pads per day. What can I expect
to happen regarding control of urine, when I'm able to have
intercourse? What about oral sex? What kind of control will I most
liekly have here? I'm 48yrs. old and I had a the nerve sparing
surgery done at Hopkins. THANKS !

4 weeks post-op is really too early to be worrying about control of urine
during sex. The urine control should gradually be achieved, and it may
happen at such a slow rate that is not really perceptable to you day to day
(be patient, patient!).

One day you will get up and forget to change the pad all day long.

Another day, and you will forget to put it on when you go to work.

Sex will happen. You cannot keep that one down, even if 'willie' does not
seem to stir right now.

I don't know if you consider this good news or bad but you will
probably be mostly continent by the time you are able to have
intercourse.
