Did not even take ibuprofen for pain relief today, although there still
is some soreness down there.  Swelling is down.  I can feel the tubes and
gizmos in the testicle sack.  Strange feeling to say the least.  I have to
find the on/off switch.  They told me that some guys hit the wrong thing and
inactivate the device while it is closed and then they cannot pee.  That is
no joke, so it is important to know where to feel to turn that thing back on
so you can open things up.

I am having some problems reminiscent of pre RRP days though.  Frequent
urination, small amounts, burning, and feeling like I have to go even right
after having gone.  My wife told me to drink more and to try cranberry
juice.  Apparently it does something to change the ph.  I am still on
antibiotics, and will be for six, yes six, weeks.  So, urinary track
infection??  No prostate, so no prostatitis or BPH.

  Take care.

Hi David.

The reduced pain is a good sign.

The long period of antibiotics is a sign of just how much 'work' was
done inside.

I'm not surprised about your symptoms.

Also...did they give you a 'manual' with that sphincter?

:-)

Not really a joke...cuz no matter what they showed you in the
hospital...I'd think that so soon after surgery, and with all the
medication you'd be on...it would be tough to get it straight.

Especially considering how important the device is.

Keep up the good healing,

Ron B.

Hi Ron:
Yes, I am trying to "eat well" to keep up my strength.  As a matter of
fact, I am about 35 minutes from that event right now.
   Thank you!
David S.
