In my case there was zero ejaculate right from the first try (about 5 days
after seeding) till a bit over 8 months, and then I started producing a
few drops with each orgasm. PSA has been falling monotonically throughout
this period (well, with only 3 measurements, I guess "monotonically"
doesn't mean much) and the last one was 0.65. Either there's a smidgen of
functional tissue left or swelling is easing to the point where some of
the small amount of fluid produced upstream from the prostate can make it
through. The latter possibility would be encouraging. I'll see what the
urologist thinks when I see him next.
I'd say it might be worth reporting the production of ejaculate to your
uro or rad onc and getting an opinion.

Thanks a lot. I also dried up between my biopsy and about three weeks
after seeding, but fluid returned after that. So it sounds like three
months is too early. I was thinking that the drying-up of the ejaculate
would indicate the seeds' assault on the prostate was effective in
putting it out of commission. Looks like I have to wait longer. My
sexual functioning so far is good. I hope you're right about the
"upstream" fluid being a good sign. The fluid is thin, not like regular
ejaculate (I don't call it "semen" because I had a vasectomy years
ago). It's definitely not urine, but it's rather runny.

Me, too :)

Right. Mine does contain sperm so it's a bit thicker than you
describe, but I think we're experiencing much the same phenomenon.
Best of luck.............

I think for some of us, the well never goes dry.
In my case, I'm at seeding +10 months and still am good for a
quarter teaspoon or more about every other day.
That's not to say that I'm -cough-cough- in the saddle every other
day or working the arthrytis out of my hands.
I'm capable of an erection, nothing like when I was 20 or 30 but
given my age, acceptable. I'm also able to go, oh, 2 or 3 minutes
with vigorous activity. Again, nothing like a 20 year old.
Here's the odd thing and, help me out, after a couple minutes, I
seem to get soft. Then just before the orgasm, it's like, flopping
around soft, and only slightly firm. This is without any chemical
aids.
I had one *good* orgasm in the last couple weeks, the rest were
quite forgetable.
The other thing I've noticed is that my libido is gradually
returning from the Lupron but it's still a take-it or leave-it
thing. It started coming back about 2, 3 months after I declined
the 3rd shot but it didn't come raging back.
It was gradual, almost unnoticeable at first. Little by little,
it's come back over the last 5, 6 months.
Week by week, things seem to be the same but comparing one month to
the next, there is significant improvement. I'm hoping that this
trend continues.

I highly recommend trying Viagra or Levitra. The jokes about them hide
a truth: they really can work. I get the highest dosage of Levitra and
cut it in half, which brings the cost down to a reasonable amount. For
the symptons you describe, either would probably be quite successful,
unless you have high blood pressure or are one of those people who has
blue flashes.

I'm 19 months post treatment with EBRT + HDR. During actual
treatment I ejaculated some sort of bloody mess. Shortly
after treatment I had dry orgasms - but very few due to the
Lupron. Within a few months I was ejaculating a small amount
of some sort of clear, thin, but sticky fluid. That has
stayed constant to this day.
As far as I know that ejaculate is not a sign of treatment
failure. I asked my rad onc if it meant anything and he
indicated that it didn't.

For me, sustaining an erection became more difficult as I got
older and seemed to get more difficult again after treatment,
though it's hard to be sure that's the cause since,
unfortunately, I'm _still_ getting older.
I haven't noticed that the onset of the orgasm causes me to get
softer, but I have noticed that I can't sustain erections for
long periods as we all did when we were young. Viagra definitely
seems to help and if you haven't tried it, you probably should.
I have noticed that an erection is not necessary for an
orgasm. They can happen with or without a hard-on.

I have less libido than I used to have, but again, age seems to
be a big factor. Lupron and radiation probably made it worse,
but not dramatically so. I expect libido to continue to decline
with time.
For me, sex has evolved as I've gotten older. I focus more
on the intimacy, the sharing, and the giving than I used to as
a young man, and less on the physical sensation. At least
that's what I try to do.
