The last 6 weeks have been a whirlwind but my Nerve Sparing RRP is
scheduled for this Friday (8/12).  Dr. Alan Partin at Johns Hopkins
will be performing the operation.

We leave South Carolina Thursday morning and I hope, er...PLAN to be
home by Monday evening (8/15) to hug and kiss my kids (8 and 5).

Thanks for all the great info over the last month or so, and I'll keep
you all posted after the surgery.

hi USC - start making plans now for a big party when you get back.  the
odds are very low on anything major happening on the table while out
like a light.  but i wouldn't plan on running the 10k race that weekend.
have to wait a little bit.  :)

best of luck,

Hi USC.

You're a young buck and will be back with your kids...full of 'piss and
vinegar' in no time.

Uh...forget that 'piss' part.  :-)

All the best,

Ron B.

On August 7, USC Gamecock, to whom I wish the very best, wrote, in
pertinent part :

> Biblical support - Lamentations 3:21-23

For those who will not bother to look, this is what those verses say:

21: This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22: It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his
compassions fail not.
23: They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24: The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

My sincere hope for a great outcome.  I don't know Lamentations, but I will
give St. Peregrine a call in your behalf.

Remember as you go in, you will sleep through the whole thing.  It is your
family that has to go through the rough part.  When you wake up, you will
wonder what all the fuss was about.  And your biopsy is expected to be as
good as your numbers going in, i.e., GREAT!
