Lupron and other ADT drugs are extemely expensive.  Does anyone know
when any of these might become available in generic form?

I asked my pharmacist this afternoon about how long these drugs are patented
for.  10 years usually, but they apply for the patents when they are still
working on them in the labs, so the clock starts running then.   She said
that the HT shots have been out around 4 to 5 years.

So long story short, it could be another 2 or 3 years......but all they have
to do is change the chemical makeup of these shots and apply for another
patent to extend the years of high prices.  (that is my comment...not hers).
That happened with one of the cholesterol drugs, I believe.

Hope that little bit of info helps.
