Will be performed by Dr. Alan Partin at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.  I
travelled there from SC yesterday to consult with him and made the
decision.  Now to prepare myself and get this speedbump in my life past
me.  I'll keep you posted.

Age at Dx - 37 (June 22, 2005)
Stage - T2b

Hey, good luck to you. You are in great hands at JH.
I'm still having a rough time getting to understand how such a
young man with a PSA of .7 has PCa. The youngest that I've read about
was 36. The story is at the link below. By the way, I did not use this
doctor and I'm not promoting the site in any way. I came across it while
doing my own research last year. I live here in S Florida.

I'm 53 now and was diagnosed last August and I thought that was pretty
young! I'm sure that you'll be fine, it just takes some time to heal,
both mentally and physically. I'm about 7 months post op and physically
I'm actually stronger now than before. I was continent from day one
after the cath came out too. The sexual side effects takes more time
though. (At least for me). Youth should work in your favor in this regard.
I wish you all the best and keep us posted.

You have made a good choice; I wish you all possible luck. Get yourself
in as good physical shape as you possibly can over the next few weeks,
go to the hospital in a calm and peaceful frame of mind, then wake up
with a wonderful feeling that the beast is gone from within you (it's a
great sensation).

That's great!  Your luck is finally going your way again.  The game cock
