Hi Everyone!

Last Friday, the 24th, I had my seeding done in Scranton, PA.
They did 83 I-125 seeds, stayed overnight at the hospital and have
been home since Saturday morning. Each day has seen improvement in
the plumbing department.
Today I notice more discomfort in the injection site.
It could be related to the fact that the air-handler fan motor burned
out last night and I had to replace it today, some lifting but
tried to go easy on things. Back to the ice.
I'm on Flomax, started 10 days before implants, and Cipro.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

So far, so good.
You're right about no heavy lifting. You've gotta take it easy for a while.
Are you one-a-day or two-a-day on the Flomax?

Good luck,
Larry

Larry --

One-a-day for now, Doc said if I need to go up to two-a-day.

Good for you with one-a day. I'm a little over one year since my seeds. I
was two-a-day for about the first five or six months now one-a-day. Whenever
I try to wean myself further, it gets uncomfortable so I'll just stay at
that for a while.

I was seeded last in July 2004. When I was trying to get off the Flomax
the doc suggested that I go to 1 every other day. That worked for me and
now I'm off Flomax completely/

Hi Doug,
I've tried that. Can't quite get there - and it's my nature to avoid drugs -
any drug - if I can at all help it. But I'm not going to make myself
miserable trying to get off this one - not yet anyway.
I'm very glad it worked for you. I've had a weak stream for a long time -
long before this PCa came along, so maybe that's part of the problem.

At about 3 months post seeding I simply forgot to take the Flomax
for a few days, the feeling was, "whoa, what's going on, it's
getting HARD to go!"

I started back on it and things improved.  At 6 months, I stopped
again, because it seemed like time.   I haven't gone back to taking
Flomax.  The stream isn't as strong as with it but it is a good
flow so I figure, I don't need it.

That's about where I am with the Vitamin-V.  25 mg "helps".  I'm not
"swinging heavy" but without a Vitamin, I can manage a 3 (hmmm, good
firmness there, quick! Put it in before it goes away!  Drat, not
fast enough.) on the 5 point scale. That's where a 4 is the typical
tired middle aged guy and a 5 is, well, like the time in college
with Trixy-Lee Hixon in the back seat of the '62 Biscayne.

With 25 mg of Vitamin-V, I'm seeing 4's on the 5 point scale.  Have
not seen a 5 in over a year.

Best of luck to you John.  Take it easy on the lifting.  You don't want to
end up like me with two hernias!
