Anyone out there notice an increased breast size after losing your
prostate? I'm 3 years post surgery and suspect a link here.

AIUI, gynecomastia is usually associated with a decrease in
testosterone. Is JK taking any androgen suppressors?
There are various tx's, I'm told. One is radiation, another is Femara
(letrazole), an antineoplastic aromatase inhibitor prescribed for tx of
breast cancer in post-menopausal women. Check rxlist.com for details.
No doubt there are others.

Not so for me. My main complaint after the RRP is the fatigue. That
continues.

This is amazing that it pops up now.
I'm 3 months after RRP, NO hormones (which I would understand) but
noticed a little 'boobage'.
I gained back the 10 pounds or so that i lost before my surgery.
I'm 6'3" about 260 and I thought that it's just the post-surgery diet
that did it.
(I was 240 before and people commented on my weight loss) Imagine...240
and folks thought that i was wasting away.
(I'm big boned (for real) and was always an athlete type)
I'm diabetic but the lo-carb stuff...while it doesn't increase blood
sugar, DOES add calories. And red wine is calories.
I think that it's the reason but you smart guys would know if there is
any other reason for increased breast size.
Remember...no hormones...just RRP and diet.
I read where the RRP INCREASES testosterone...so I welcome any opinions.
Thanks again,
Ron B.

Hi Ron:
I forgot about the weight gain, 15 lbs. I had lost weight in 2002 when
I had gall bladder problems and the weight stayed off after the gall bladder
was removed in May of that year. After the RRP, August of 2003, it
gradually came back over about a three month period. No change in diet,
etc. Wonder how that fits into the scheme of things?
Thank you.
