Hi gang!

Well, we know almost nothing other than it probably is nothing. They gave
him a round of antibiotics as it could be bacterial induced. They did
another blood test on him looking for another protein marker. (Apparently
similar to a PSA test but this is specific for some sort of tumor.) He will
go back the end of August unless this last test shows something and will
have another ultrasound done along with a visit with the doctor. They said
it was not a hydrocele but it was located on the epididymus. The doc
explained this is a tadpole shaped thing and the lump is on the tippy tail.
The doctor seems to think the "tail" is inflamed.

I think we are relieved but I'll be glad when this last test is processed
and we know the result. Then maybe we'll both feel better about all of it.

I think this is one of those things about having battled cancer; you always
watch and wait for the shoe to drop again. I don't think we ever get passed
that stage. I guess we just have to learn to live with it.

Heads or "tails"  (tail thing)

You never know if you are coming and going or going..
I hope all turns out well.
I admit I do self exam in that area, just like a woman needs to do for
breast.  there are a few lumps, and cords and such....
In fact any lump can be suspicious...
That really confuses the lump between my two ears....
Wish you the best and trying to throw a little humor toward not so humorous
of a topic.
I just visited my sister-in-law finished with radiation for breast cancer.
She wears a wig, but looks quite nice without it!
Anyway, at least she felt brave enough to take it off in front of me.
It was quite warm and the wig felt like a knit cap!
My 2 boys visiting her she was worried about!
Darn, I wish we were not so self concious.

I do hope your SIL is doing very well and that she beats her monster. Short
hair/no hair and lots of eye makeup and she probably looks fabulous! Really
short hair always makes a gal's eyes look twice their size.

The PA told us that many men do not go to the doc when something goes wrong.
He said they get guys in there with completely atrophied testicles because
they were too self-conscious to see a doctor and until they are in serious
trouble they won't say anything.  That's terrible!

The PA called a doc in and the two of them examined my husband. I'm sure
that was a lot less fun then having the two gals doing the ultrasound.
Actually I know it was less fun because I was there, they had to really feel
the lump, and they were  not tender on a super tender area! Ow! Well, while
they were doing this another young doctor poked his head in the door. I said
come on in, want to feel, too? He smiled and said, "that's okay." I looked
at him and said it's a little like having a baby everybody gets a chance.
This doctor completely cracked up and said, "You're right, absolutely
right!"

The mother of a friend of mine died after waiting too long to go to the
doctor with stomach pain.  She must have been in terrible pain because when
she finally did go she had gangrene!   Hard to understand someone who will
not go to get medical help.

Just the same, Bev, I think you ought to feel his balls nightly for awhile.

Oh, I solemnly swear, I will tenderly caress the family jewels every night
and any other chance that might present itself.

It's nice to have someone so close who can provide medical attention.  Now
me?  I'd have to find me a nurse every night.
