About two and a half months after my RP and I stopped
using pads - dripping has ended.
Next challenge is to gain back the erection, so far nothing at all.
I did try viagra 100 as the uro prescribed - did not help - so far.
Are any of the other wonder pills better?

Reuben,
Pills didn't work well enough for me to have to have intercourse until
5.5 months. It was not good, but better than nothing. I have found that
Levitra and Viagra work marginally better for me than Cialis. Levitra
has less side effects for me than Viagra. I used shots a lot the first
year. They were very effective. Now I have developed a curve, so I had
to stop. They were worth it!

I've used both Viagra and Cialis.  Cialis is longer lasting, but
otherwide doesn't seem to be any different.

It is not uncommon for these drugs not to work at first following RP, so
it is a good idea to keep trying, every month or so.   Meanwhile, there
are other methods for inducing an erection.   I was impotent for 18
months and my wife an I got along pretty well during that time with a
VED, i.e., "pump".  Other men have found that injections work reasonably
well.  You should talk to your urologist about what would be reassonable
for you to try.

Some doctors recommend small doses of Viagra or one of the other drugs
taken daily to encourage the return of erections.   I don't know if
there is any data suggesting it works, and it would certainly be expensive.

I had an RRP one year ago. My Urologist was right when he said to give
it a full year. I can now get a good erection with 20 mg of Levitra and
had my first nocturnal erection two nights ago. It can take up to 2
years for the nerves to heal proerly.
