OK, my prescription insurance plan will do the folllowing:
24 tablets of Viagra or 24 tablets of Levitra or 24 tablets of Cialis)
within a 90 day period.

My urologist had talked about a daily maintenance dose of Viagra.  In light
of this
limitation I assume that the best choice is to get him to prescribe the 100
mg Viagra
- so I'd get 24 of the 100mg every 90 days - and then I can break them into
25 mg
or 50 mg.  If I broke them into 25 mg then those 24 would become 96 25 mg
every
90 days (so I'd have an extra 6 of the 25 mg segments to "play with").

Could I do the same with Cialis or Levitra?  I know that they are longer
acting and
I would probably have to take them every two or three days?

So, any opinions on the best options here?

Have your doctor beat up on the insurers (yu should also call them and
explain the situation). This is a medical treatment, not a "for fun"
deal. I have to jump through similar hoops annually to get one of my
meds.

I take Levitra, get the 100s, split them into quarters with my doctor's
agreement. They're much smaller than Viagra so harder to split evenly,
but it saves big bucks. It's useless to expect your doctor to change
the insurer's mind, but he may well agree to the pill-splitting.

My insurer had the same deal - 24 in a 90 day period.  I got the 20mg of
cialis and bought myself a pill cutter.  It wasn't always a perfect cut, but
it worked.  I took 10mg every other day.  Between what i oculd get from the
pharmacy under my plan plus what I could get in free samples from my Uro &
regular doc, I had enough to get by.

I use the pill splitter too. Levitra is easiest to split evenly because
it is round, but it is small. Cialis lasts about 36 hours, so you can
get two nights out of it. Cialis is therefore the most economical.  It
is hard to split evenly because of the long-tear-drop shape. There is
less interference from food with Cialis and levitra than with Viagra
too. My stomach is never empty.
