Never went through it and never heard of anyone who did.  But, I just looked
it up on the Internet and it seems like a very interesting idea.

Actually, now that I think of it, maybe Leonard mentioned lasers a year or
so ago.

I had the Green Laser PVP about 18 months ago. PVP is excellent to
treat prostate enlargement with no sign of cancer, but is not
recommended for prostate cancer because  in this procedure the
prostate tissue is vaporized, so there is always danger of spreading
the cancer if it exists. In my case, there was no sign of cancer and
my PSA was about 2. My complaint was frequent urination and urgency.
The PVP fixed that.  For lots of info on PVP, try the
sci.med.prostate.bph newsgroup. There are many guys there who have had
PVP, as well as a few who had TURP, TUMT, and other procedures, none
of which are suitable for prostate cancer.
