Thanks to all for your replies regarding my anxiety about taking Flomax. I
am happy to say that there was no reaction to it and I am feeling fine. I
did not faint. My wife did not have to call 911. I feel that I have been
ridiculous about all of this, but really it was so good to have all of your
replies.

Stavros: Hooray! Good for you! You'll continue to do well!

You're welcome. We are here, I think, to support each other.
Now that that's out of the way, I hope that the Flomax is doing its job.

Thursday they put me on Flomax, so I've been very interested in these
postings. The seeds were inserted last Monday. I'm going pee 20 - 30 times
a day, but only 1 - 3 ounces at a time. If I remain on the stool and read a
book, I'll go again in 3 - 5 minutes. Every time I go to the bathroom I
drink 6 - 12 ounces of water. It was my wife's suggestion to drink more
water.

When the swelling from the insertion of the seeds goes down you'll stop
peeing every 15 minutes.
It was wonderful after my husband had his seeds put in - he had to stop and
use the restroom every hour like clock work. I never once had to ask for a
pit stop when we traveled. Now he's back to being a camel and I'm the one
asking for pit stops again.

Glad to hear you did not have any adverse reactions.

Stavros,
If I hadn't tuned out for a while, I would have added my support for Flomax.
To me, it's been a wonder drug. No problem peeing as long as I take it with
no side effects.
I've tried to withdraw from time-to-time but had to go back to my one-a-day.
I have taken it since my seeds and EBRT last April-June. Started with two
per day and noticed immediate positive results.
Good luck!

Thanks. It's working well for me, but I am taking it with Phenazopyradine.
I am taking them to reduce frequency and urgency. The doc explained how
these drugs work both ways, but don't ask me to remember what he said.
Something to do with relaxing certain muscles. High school biology was the
most difficult course I ever had and at 76 I am not going to change. Well,
I now sort of know where the prostate is.
