Found a lump yesterday just above the public hair on the left side. I had a
hernia repaired on that side about five years ago, but that was in a
different location, much lower, down by the testicles. Will call the
doctor's office today to see what they say. Probably just another
hernia...right?
I do not know all of the possibilities. If you, as a past hernia patient
ask "hernia?", I answer, "maybe."
I have never heard of a lump in the lower abdomen being referred to as an
indicator associated with Prostate Cancer or the removal of a prostate
almost 2 years ago.

No, nothing to do with PCa I am sure (maybe I should have marked this as
"OT"). Organ contained disease, clear margins, undetectable PSA's since
then, etc. I had a friend that found a lump in his arm pit. He was dead a
year later. They never found the primary site. He was treated at the
Cleveland Clinic, so I don't think he could have received better care than
that.
Just another bump in the road. In all likelihood it is another hernia, but
I have to admit to being a little spooked by this. The doctor will see me
tomorrow morning.
What next???

David...just from my own situation...before the PC was diagnosed...I
went to my internist because I had what turned out to be a double
hernia.
To the left and right of the pubic hair, one side got "harder" than the
other.
Then went back to normal.
Sometimes they can fix them (or one) during the PC operation but Dr.
Catalona explained that the stitches would be pulling in the opposite
direction of the PC stitiches so he declined to fix them.
They are in the area that you describe...so I would THINK that it is a
hernia that you feel.
Not a doctor...not sure...but it seems to fit.
Best wishes,
Ron B.
