any information about your experience getting off of Flomax would be
appreciated. Did you get advice from your Urologist? I am over 4
months post seeding and wondering if I am ready to stop using it.
Thanks

I'm having the same issue, am 9 months post seeding. Initially I needed
to take 2 Flomax. Reduced to 1 Flomax at around 5 months. Tried going
off completely several times but needed to go back on. Currently talking
1 every other day and that seems to be working well. Occasionally make
it 1 every 2 days. According to the doctor who did the seed implants
some people get off quickly, most off by the end of the first year and a
few need to stay on for some longer period of time. He said that there
was no danger in stopping occasionally to see if they are still needed.
If still needed just start again. I've stopped and re-started several
times without problems.

thanks for the response..what is your sensation when you try to go
without? Is it a burning or pain? or just slower urination? I have
only used 1 a day from the start...Ed

The only response I have when I have gone off Flomax is just slower
urination which returns to normal by the next morning after restarting
the Flomax.

I went off Flomax at about 10 months. At 6 months, my oncologist told
me to try quitting anytime I felt that I was ready, but I had some
travel planned and didn't want to risk any complications. At 10
months, when I did stop taking it, I noticed maybe a very slight
slowdown at first, but now, about 40 days later, everything seems
normal. My oncologist also said that you can stop Flomax and restart
anytime you need to without worrying about any complications.

My husband took it for about 2 years. He tried stopping it several times but
each time had to start again. As Ron said it is not a problem starting and
stopping it.

I forgot to say that it takes a while to build into your system and just
doesn't work magic after one dose.
