I posted this yesterday in another thread and then thought it should
be a stand-alone issue:
yesterday's post

What DOES concern me a little is that I'm already experiencing a
slight "Throttling" of the Urine Stream after only 3 Fractions of
EBRT.
I've got another Fraction today and then will be off for 4 days for
the Easter (au) break.
I had a TURP 16 yrs ago, but some say the residual "squared off" scar
tissue can cause a partial or total blockage to the Urine Flow as it
is not as resilient as a nicely rounded natural one :-(
Already cut back on the Tramadol which also contributes to this, but
will have to mention the "Flow" TODAY if still problematical.
Worst case scenario, portable External Ultrasound to determine the
retention and then a CATHETER!! :-((
Anyone else in the group touched on this before?

Today's post
Had the last fraction today, mentioned it to the Radiation team, they
admitted it was a possible SE in persons who had a previous TURP, saw
the Rad Onc, who prescribed me some Flomax capsules. Seems to have
done the trick for the holiday period anyways.
However the extended time for the catheter still looms large at and
post the HDR Brachy in July :-(
