Does anybody here have tinnitus (intrusive ear ringing)? I'm wondering
what effects surgery (such as RRP) has on tinnitus.

(Raises hand) That would be me.

Dunno about RRP, but I have been anesthetized a few times. No effect on
the tinnitus.

I have had tinnitus all my adult life due to rifle fire, and RRP surgery
had no effect on it.

the RP in april 03  - no effect on the tinnitus.

never heard or saw any articles on change of tinnitus due to any surgery

I've had a minor tin ear for many years.  I've had two surgeries,
including a RRP, and haven't noticed any different.

Curious question, yours.   d;o)

I have had it for years.  I've had two surgeries within the past six
years, and as far as I can tell, neither had an effect on my tinnitus.
It has actually gotten a bit better in the last couple of years, but it
may be that I am just better at filtering it out.  Also, I think I am
going deaf in that ear, which may be related to the tinnitus,  and
perhaps I passed a threshold of some sort.

Wow! thanks everyone! I'm amazed how many here have tinnitus!! I have
it too, I've had tinnitus for a few years, have good days and loud
days, I'm sure most everyone with it does too.

Thanks for your feedback!!
