The following extract is taken from a pamphlet that was given to me by
a local herborist during my last visit to his store.

"There is now a mass of evidence showing very powerful protective and
therapeutic effects of green tea against cancer and other diseases. But
the key to the  Green's Tea protective and therapeutic effect resides
in the amount of the main active ingredient, EGCG. The problem is that
drinking even 10 cups of green tea per day found in stores,  doesn't
yield much EGCG. The amount of EGCG that has produced the spectacular
results in cancer has been 800-1500 mg per day. Most capsules have only
30-70 mg of EGCG per capsule- far less than what is needed for real
benefits. And tea is only a fraction of the potency of capsules"

The capsules I am taking contain 315 mg of the active ingredient.
Taking 3 of them a day would match the amount used in the succesful
studies. They are called EGCG MAX and are made by the Canadian company
AOR. Cost is  $29  for 90 capsules just in case someone is interested.

I notice their web site says "safe at 1 capsule daily".  What if you take 3?
They don't say.  Could you contact them and find out?

I had checked it out myself and the "safe at 1 capsule daily" is for
Pregnant or Nursing Women.  I don't think Fernando qualifies......LOL.
3/day is the recommended dosage.

Cheers......Heather

Interesting!  Then maybe their web site needs updating, or perhaps the stuff is
safe at any level.

Is this stuff good for someone like me who already has PCa?

They have identified a powerful anti-cancer compound in green tea.

Sorry, me being dense!  The 1 capsule limit is during pregnancy/nursing, which I
guess doesn't apply to PCa...
