My Lupron injections for PCa were as follows:

4-27-2004 One month shot
5-27-2004 Three month shot
8-27-2004 Three month shot

My testosterone test on 1-31-2005 as 52.

My questions are:

1.What is a normal testosterone level/range for a 65 yo male.
2.How long does it usually take to achieve normal testosterone levels
after stopping Lupton.

Looks as if it's recovering.

Don't know about age-related levels. But the normal range is 200-1600
ng/dl. (Strum & Pogliano, _A Primer on Prostate Cancer_, page F11)

AIUI, that depends upon the individual man. Strum does write that, if a
man has been on ADT for >two years, he may see a delay in recovery of T,
or possibly even failure of recovery.

At www.prostate-cancer.org/resource/pdf/Is5-1.pdf there is a case
history of a man whose T returned to normal ten months after ADT was
stopped.

The normal range on my test report is listed as 240 to 950.

I spent a total of two years on Lupron using 4 month shots and was off
it for two months on 12/1/04 when my first testosterone test result came
back 92.  I'm age 62. The next test will be about 6/1/05.

To help speed up the return of testosterone, my strategy is to study the
diet and exercise of a muscle builder and adopt what I find convenient.

I received no information about testosterone from my radiation
oncologist or my uro and didn't ask.
