I thought there might be a need for a quantitative erection scale that
could replace the time-worn phrases of "almost stuffable" and the like.
Also, maybe the newly arrived members of this club who are concerned
about post-treatment ED might benefit from seeing that some humor
exists in us veterans. Here is the scale from 0 to 5 with descriptions
and likely comments.
0 - Nada, zilch, nothing at all.
1 - Some inner stirrings, "I don't see anything happening" from
partner.
2 - Tumescence, growth to perhaps as much as 70% of normal erection,
pretty floppy. You and partner agree "maybe next time."
3 - Nearly normal size, looks pretty good. Accompanied by the
following comments in order: "This looks like it's going to work."
"Maybe if I pinch the base to stiffen it a bit." "Try some more K-Y."
"Is it in?" "A little help here." "Maybe next time."
4 - The old pre-op erection, more or less usable, generally worthwhile.
5 - The rock-hard erection of youth, back when a guy could moonlight as
a coatrack. Great fun at parties.
I'm at about 20-months post-op with lots of 0 - 3's. One at the low
end of 4 but it lasted only a few moments and was a solo performance at
that with no one to share. Everything above 2 achieved only with
Viagra. As time marches on, average is slowing creeping up so to
speak.

Good scale. I'm at 8.5 months post-rrp and am mostly in categories 2 & 3.
I'm hopefully I'll get to #4 someday....

Thanks a lot! I'll be six weeks post op on Wednesday. I thought I was
doing really well until I saw I was only a "2" on the scale. Even my wife
thought that I was doing well! :)

Hang tough Rob.
I think that "2" IS good!
I think that my first time, many years ago...we were afraid of getting
caught and I may have said "Is it in?"
And that's only a "3"!
;-)
Remember...I haven't had surgery yet and am afraid of everything so IF I
wake up...AND have a weenie at ALL...well...you can guess.
Best to all of you great brave guys,
Ron B.

Judamd,
I like the scale.
It should go higher to accomodate what is possible with penile
injections.
A "6" is the same as a "5", but doesn't go away after an orgasm, or if
it is particularly romantic two of them!
We have paid our dues in this club. We should live it up as much as we
can.

Good scale Judamd. I'm eleven months past robotic LRP and the best I could
do was 3 with Viagra. Not worth the stuffy head. Then I started injections
and immediately went to 6 (on the Steve U addition to the scale).
Definitely worth the apprehension of sticking a tiny needle in the penis.

alas, on this scale I am a zero going natural; 2 - 3 with trimix. Not
really expecting to see any 4's or 5's in my future.
