Post Robotic Surgery...gleason 3+3=6 Cancer found..Right and Left lobes
5%..contained within Prostate..did not get out anyplace. No evidence of
Malignancy. Diagram of the sliced up Prostate showed  3 little dark
spots deep inside the gland  on the right side and one little dark spot
deep inside on the left side. I start my Kegal now and wear Depends...go
back to Uro in 4 weeks... Howie

Sounds like just the sort of news we all want/wanted to hear.  Don't
over do the Kegels.  One more instance in which more is not necessarily
better.

My hospital's whole urology staff all but demands I follow their Kegel
protocol, which in 7 weeks works up to 50 quick Kegels, 50 10-second Kegels,
then 50 quick Kegels, twice a day. I'm still not sure which is my problem,
inadequate Kegel strength or inadequate concentration on doing them lightly
every waking moment.

It looks like you caught it and got rid of it at a very early
stage.

What a great relief.  You've got some after effects to recover
from, but the rest of a natural lifetime to do it in.

Good health.

Sounds like good news.  Best of luck with your recovery.  I went skiing this
past weekend - 1st time since my surgery.  Life CAN return to normal - it
just takes time and patience....

Thanks...Is it normal to hurt down there?.Cath out yesterday, wore
Depends..VERY uncomfortable, Testicles sort of "raw" ? as is under
Penis..possible Urine burn ? Also, been taking stool sofener but no urge
to go today? Hope I go tomorow..been going every day so far....is it ok
to miss a day ? howie

It's always okay to miss a day but not three or four. Have a little prune
juice it's a natural way to keep things moving along and it tastes good.
Sometimes a banana is enough for some people. Have Hope buy a box of All
Bran cereal and make the muffins from the recipe on the side of the box.
They are very good and the added fiber will help. Just relax nature tends to
take care of such problems.

Many, maybe most, of us in Basic Training and Officer's Training School had
no TIME, let alone need, to have a BM in our first week in training. You'll
live.

I. P. Freely also...everyplace but the toilet..Nurse friend of mine said
to do as a Woman..sit on the throne to peeeeee, that's hard to do also
since Mr Weener is so short!!!!!  Howie
Beverley - 17 Feb 2005 04:36 GMT
When potty training little boys I've always sat them on the seat backwards,
facing the tank. If they sit forward their legs go together and then the
plumbing tends to shoot forward and up. Backwards they get a little downward
slant to things and their legs are apart. Gets them ready for standing up
like the big boys.
LOL

Kinda Freaky ? Well at least I could use the tank top as a reading desk
? Doing ok..NO pads being used, am able to hold it somewhat...aim? that
will take practice. Up 5 times again last night to pee, at least the
bladder is telling the brain to go empty...brain wakes body and up I
go...guess bladder has shrunk?                  Howie

I found that it took a few weeks for me to heal inside after having the cath
removed.  sounds normal to me, but I'm not a doctor.
