Just curious..has anybody who has had the Robotic Prostate surgery ever
found out the cost of it all to include the pills, tissues, food surgery
etc ? Just curious..I est 20,000 ??? am I even close ?  Howie

Howie,
The cost depends on many variables. The cost to the patient depends on
where they go, what doctor they have, what their insurance covers, how
fast they recover, what drugs they use and how often. The cost to the
hospital is hard to figure out too. The DaVinci robot costs >$1M, so
how many cases do you spread that over?

Had LRP at IU Hospital. Total bill was about $24,000.00. Insurance paid
about $9,000.00 and I paid a little over $1,000.00. Hospital wrote the
rest of on taxes I guess.
