Hello, all.  Just discovered this newsgroup and it sure does look like
a great place to find and give advice and support.

My name is Dave LaCourse and I'll be 68 in May.  I had a radical eight
years ago by Dr. Schloss at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA.  He used
the nerve saving technique and was successful.  My recovery time was
long and slow.  Not very much pain, but I was very weak.  A friend who
had experienced the same operation a year before advised that the best
way back was to walk.  So, I did, and he was right.  My operation was
in early August, and by September I was once again fly fishing and
doing my normal every-day routine.  By November I was back in the gym
working out, and sex was great and I was peein' straight!  d;o)

I'll lurk a little while and hope that I can add to this wonderful
group.

Welcome, Dave.

Yes, success stories are always appreciated by those just diagnosed, and
in that regard people are probably tired of hearing from me all the time.

Good to hear from a man with a successful outcome.

Good luck and good health.
