Sorry all - I've de-lurked again!
On my 3 mthly evaluation today at SCGH, I met the Dr. who would be
doing my HDR Temporary Brachytherapy.
He's just new at SCGH, but has been specialising in that in Canada for
some years. I can't mention his name here, but would be pleased to
hear from any Canadians on their experiences, outcomes etc, in this
treatment.

Hi Clarence.......I too have de-lurked again.
My husband (Ron) had HDR brachytherapy at Sunnybrook Hospital's Cancer Care
Centre in Toronto, Ontario in the summer of 2003, followed by EBRT. As far
as I know, it was the only Canadian hospital doing that particular treatment
at that time.......and there were 3 others to follow. I would be happy to
discuss his treatment with you. There are two doctors in particular who are
specializing in HDR for prostate and breast cancer that we dealt with.
Cheers......Heather (write me at 'heatherfig at rogers dot com')

Was this a pre-planned hit of Zometa or due to your 0.1 PSA? 0.1 is
virtually undetectable, which is why I'm curious.

Oh, I see. Interesting treatment schedule and apparently great results.
