I've been away from the board for a myriad of reasons, but wanted to be sure to
drop by and extend my thanks to MANY of you who helped me through my prostate
cancer diagnosis, treatment decision-making (I chose RRP), and recovery. Your
kind and comforting (and sometimes blunt) words were most definately a big
factor in getting me to where I am today - HEALTHY!
Diagnosed in the fall of 2003, I had just turned 51, and had a PSA of 4.1.
RRP on January 7 2004. Last check up was in October with a 'undetectable' PSA.
Although my expected 2-3 hour surgery took 6 hours, my (excellent) surgeon
spared the nerves. I'm getting erections 'on demand' <smile>, and
'performance' is at about 95% of what it was pre-surgery. I am not quite used
to 'dry orgasms', but I'm not complaining!
To all of you who were in the same boat as I was a year ago, you've come to the
right place. There is a lot of knowlege, experience and expertise on this
board.
Merry Christmas, to one and all, and to all, a great 2005.
