We went to Phoenix to spend Thanksgiving weekend with his family but stayed
in a hotel. To those of you who don't know us, John's RPP was July 16,
2003, and because his cancer was in the beginning of stage 3 the doctor was
not able to spare much of his nerves. He had not been able to get an
erection with Viagra (but I always felt we shouldn't give up). He tried
Cialis but the side effects were horrible. He also tried injections and
after 3 times broke out into a horrible rash. Therefore we tried Viagra
again Thanksgiving weekend. Over John's protest, after he took his Viagra
(about 15 minutes), I started giving him a little oral stimulation (gently
at first since he wasn't erect yet). After a few minutes, I stopped briefly
and was surprised to see how erect he was and said "look at this!"
Anyway we were able to have sex and it was great!

Good news. My erections started to return also after about 18 months.
Good luck.

Congratulations to both of you. This is an excellent illustration of the
medical advice to be patient, and try tactile stimulation.

Congratulations on the recovery. I am at sixteen months. Maybe I
will have something favorble to report one of these days.
Not real glad though to read about breaking out in a rash after the
shots. I have trimix sitting in my fridge waiting for a first try.
Hope that does not happen to me!!
Thank you.

John has always had extreme sensitivity to medications. When he was a
child, they discovered the hard way that they would not be able to
remove his tonsils because he was allergic to the anesthetic. I would
not worry about reacting in the same way to the injection.
