No problem with the injection except that I bent the needle trying to pull
off the cap with one hand while the other was busy holding Willie down.
Used it anyway.  Felt the needle go in, but no big deal.  That will not hold
me back in the future.  It took maybe ten minutes for it to start working.
After about fifteen minutes I took out the pump to see if I could tease out
more length.  That more or less confirmed my fear that what is there is all
that there ever will be.  More than a handful is now down to four fingers.

This was a solo test, but I am pretty sure that this was stiff enough for
penetration.  It is not "painful" like the Caverject, but it is throbbing a
bit down there.  More pressure than pain.  Not real comfortable sitting here
typing.  The erection (I'll call it Tiny Tim") is still there half an hour
later.  I thought stimulation was required for the erection even with the
injections?  BTW the amount I used was I think the doctor said 0.5 ml (the
bottle has 20 ml).  On the insulin needle the pharmacist told me to go to
the 50 unit mark, that was the same dose.  Hope that was correct.  The
doctor said the .5 ml was a low dose and that I could use more if necessary
to get results.  Those of you out there that use trimix, what dosage do you
use?   Is the .5 ml pretty much normal?

So, I guess we can call this a success of sorts ("The Return of Mr. Stiffy"
showing soon in a bedroom not close to you).  I will probably follow the
advice I was given and do one more solo before trying a live run.

Thank you.   HoHoHo.

John needed no stimulation when he did the injections.  Unfortunately, he
couldn't continue them because of the rash.

Hey David,
   Good try.
I was given prostaglandin.  It was to be kept cold in the frig....
I would use about 70mgs......
It worked most of the time.  In the night it would be more of a pain than in
the am.
In the am you could walk it off so to speak.
I did have several painful experiences although.
I believe it helped me out in the long run.
I kept a simple log of the date and the reaction I had, and shared that with
my Dr. when I saw him.
Good Luck, and do keep trying.

John Loomis,
I think you have a mistake in your message about the dose of
alprostadil. The dose is usually given in micrograms (mcg), not in
milligrams (mg). The usual dose is 2.5-20 mcg, with some guys going
higher. 70mg would translate to 70,000mg!

David,
Trimix contains alprostadil (generic name for the active ingredient in
Caverject), papaverine and phentolamine. There are multiple
formulations. You can't compare just by the volume injected without
knowing the concentration of each drug. Per shot, Caverject alone goes
up to a dose of 20mcg in the
impulse system, and some guys use more than that. Papaverine varies
from
1-30mg, and phentolamine goes from about 0.25 to 1mg.

I forgot to look at the bottle to see the actual mix of drugs.  If I
remember I will get that and post it.  Do not know if the lousy memory
is just old age, result of the anesthesia as some claim, or something
worse.  At least I am not alone in that department based upon feedback
at work.

Thank you.
