I had hoped my hair would stay in its place another two weeks, untill after The
Nutcracker, but it has been falling out for five days and now it is GONE!
Back to my wig!  But I am also suddenly continent- wierd things these PCa
treatments do.

Which is better -- a wet cat in yer pants or a shiny pate?
And what do you think my young, 245-pound, body-builder bud -- whose shaven
head is his chosen hair style -- would say about your "hair problem"? ;-) I
KNOW what he'd say; it's his favorite expression: "wig, schmig".

I'd far rather have to take a break to powder my head than to change my cat.
I also suspect I'd have more luck handing the prettiest lady in the vicinity
a powder puff and asking her to powder my pate (presuming she knows what a
pate is) than tossing her a diaper and asking her to change my wet cat.

Hair today, gone tomorrow, but dryness is forever . . . or so we hope.

Danny.
It's more important to see "you" here than your hair. I would love to see
you perform in the Nutcracker. You've gone through a lot and have inspired a
lot of folks with your positive  attitude, please keep it up.

Ditto that!

Think of the $$ you'll save on haircuts.

Break a leg  (I think that is right?).

Ha!  That answers that!

I was going to ask you how it happened with the hair thing.  My BIL is
undergoing chemo and was told he'd lose his hair, but he didn't know how it
would go.  His treatment was about 10 days ago and his head is still full.
They told him about two weeks.

The effects of chemo really vary from person to person.

I had taxotere and emcyt throughout the summer (2004).   I didn't lose much
hair from my head and beard, but my eyebrows thinned out considerably, and I
lost ALL of the hair below my neck.   Considering that I am/was a fairly
hairy guy, with hair all over my chest, legs, back and everywhere else you
can imagine, my wife found it to be quite a treat.

I had anticipated losing the hair on my head and so I executed a preemptive
strike there.  You cannot imagine how convenient it is not to have hair to
wash, dry, and otherwise waste your time.

Its all growing back now.   I even have a fuzz on my previously bald
patches.

The hair starts coming out when you comb or turn you head on your pillow, or
run your fingers through it.  More and more, just falling on your shoulders.
When I began looking like a Hiroshima survivor I just took my electric hair
trimer and razor and cut the rest off.

I'm on vacation!  Three weeks on, two weeks off.  Two perfomances of The
Nutcracker yesterday, another today, another tomorrow,  two next Friday,
another next Saturday, another next Sunday! Finishes it for the year- I hope I
can still do it again next year!  Tickets are avialable on Ticketron.  The
Nutcracker, performed by the Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre at the Bayou
Theatre of The University of Houston at Clear Lake. The Program has a picture
of me.
