Implantation of radioactive seeds.   It is sometimes combined with
external radiation.

, Cyro

I think you mean Cryo.  This is an attempt to kill the prostate and the
cancer within by freezing it.  The urethra is kept intact by a warming
catheter during the procedure.   It is a new method which in the past
has not been too successful.

 and HIFU

I believe this is the use of high frequency sound waves to cook the
prostate and the cancer contained therein.  It is a new method, so I
doubt if there is a lot of long term data on how successful it is.
But I could be wrong about the meaning of the letters.  If so, someone
will surely correct me.

Brachytherapy
Cryo and HIFU

Best thing to do Howard is a Google search, won't take long afore
you get up to speed.

All of these treatments have gone through to 2nd and 3rd generations
where they are much safer, more relaible and well worth considering.

The safest thing to do is, do your own homework, and make your own
mind up,
it's your choice and your life that could be in the balance, a couple
of days Google searching should bring you up to speed, just be sure
that {lets say} on Brachytherapy you're aware of the latest isotopes,
there's a thread in this group that I put up in the last couple of
week. If I was going the Brachy way, then I'd want those, others might
feel more confident/comfortable with the isotopes that have been used
for the last 15 years, it's all down to an individuals choice.

Good Luck.

Hang on Steve...

I've had Cryo...

And I'm still alive !!!

I meant "death" to the cancer cells.  Their death is caused by radiation,
freezing, or sound, respectively.

Believe me, I know from whence the bastard comes and it's not in the
treatment.
