Has anyone on Lupron treatment have any trouble with the sweeling of
joints so bad it hurt or have their blood pressure shoot up?  I am
currently on the last of a four month shot and the joints in my hands
are swelling like my feet are.  The hand is feeling like a bunch of
"hot" nerves. Also my blood pressure is skyrocketing depsite the
Lisinipril HCTZ (sic)I am on.  Having read all that there is in
regards to Lupron I don't recall seeing anything about the blood
pressure going up.  Down maybe, but not up.

Is this a fluke or what?

I am on Lupron and lisinopril also.  I don't think the Lupron has affected my
blood pressure.

I just completed a 2 year course of Lupron as an adjunct to EBRT for
high risk PCa.  At about 8 months, my cholesterol began to shoot up .
At 1 year my blood pressure began to shoot up.  At 18 months I developed
unusual muscle weakness and arthritic symptoms in my knees.

I read about women having what they call Lupron arthritis.  One woman
wrote that Lupron reduces the body's ability to produce glucosamine.  I
then started taking glucosamine and the arthritic symptoms stopped
getting worse and then began to improve.

I recently read about a connection between low testosterone and high
blood pressure and high cholesterol.  With the cessation of Lupron, my
testosterone has now begun the slow climb toward normal.  I just began
strength training on the large muscle groups which is also supposed to
help increase testosterone.

My blood pressure is now dropping.

A Cholesterol test due in January.
